Noël is teacher-scholar specializing in feminist and queer rhetorics, literacy studies, and digital pedagogies. Her dissertation, Biting Words: SisterSerpents’ Crafty Literacies, recovers the work and tactics of a radical feminist art collective active during the late 1980s and 1990s in Chicago as an example of how marginalized communities can articulate and contest oppressive conditions through multimodal compositions.
Noël works as the Digital Teaching Programs Administrator at Boston College’s Center for Digital Innovation in Learning, where she supports faculty in designing accessible, engaging, and innovative learning experiences across modalities.
Originally from Sacramento, California, Noël holds degrees from the University of California, Davis (BA), Pepperdine University (MA), and Boston College (MA). She received her teaching certification from Loyola Marymount University’s School of Education through the LMU | Teach For America partnership.
Noël lives in Boston with Piper, a fiercely brave torbie cat who believes in using her voice, setting boundaries, napping often, and never missing a meal. Piper keeps office hours by appointment only.
